They were both pregnant we think. 1 of them has had the babies, now the other one still looks and feels pregnant but hasn't given birth and they seem to be arguing over the babies. Question : hi my daughter had 2 ferrets until a few weeks ago until one sadly had to be put to sleep, we have now bought a baby which is a male, the other one is also male, the problem that we are having is that we are trying to introduce the baby to are old one, and they seem to play, but the original one does grab the baby hob by the neck all the time and drag him around, then he sort of stamps on his head, this does look alarming to my daughter, but there are no wounds or skin marks. i was wondering is this normal play, or fighting? also should we just let them sort it out by putting the baby in with the adult male? or should we just let them have an hour together a day , just so they get used to each other? thankyou for your help in advance. brian

Question : We have three jills (mother and two of her daughters) - and they all received the jill jab at the end of March. The mother came out of season but the two daughters (2 years old) stayed in season. So three weeks later the vet gave them both a second jill jab - but now they still don't seem to be coming out of season - they are still fully swollen etc.
Is this usual? Do they need another jill jab and is this safe? Should we try something else to get them out of season?
Any information or advice you have would be much appreciated -
Many thanks

I have recently purcased a female ferret she is decented and all that.
But after a week of having her she started to hiss at me and when i would squeek a toy she would come running and jump on me and bite me.
Im not quite sure what to do it really makes me wonder why all of a sudden she would act like that, or why she would act like that at all. Please answer.
Answer : AmandaIt sounds like your ferret is very scared by the toy that you are using and the stimulus that you are supplying is not benefiting her development
